We need to have a 43 year old dormant license revoked and or a full environmental assessment done on the property. We are not a willing host to this project.
I believe a complete environmental assessment needs to be done on the proposed York 1 Dresden landfill. The landfill site was used as a small landfill and has been inactive since the 1980's. A lot has changed with new regulations in play now.

It will impact nature, including the bald eagles that have made a come back. Not to mention First Nations peoples hunting and fishing grounds. We are a small area but we have alot of farm land that feed cities. I read that asbestos products will be involved as well.

A full complete environmental assessment must be done, including baseline water testing. The property in question is protected by the conservation authority and this is insane that a landfill is even being talked about.

I am strongly against the proposed transfer and recycling station being located 1km away from the town of Dresden. It would compromise the safety of our farmers, children and businesses of our community and also those along the way to get here.
