This is an affront to Nature. We should be doing more to protect in conserve our green spaces, not make it easier to develop. Ontario government needs to focus on preservation, conservation, and climate action... not the opposite.

I live in Westport, Ontario and I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want Ontario to be champions of environmental protection for all endangered species with a plan to save them. We must protect and preserve what is left. I do not agree and strongly oppose Bill 5!

I have no interest in making it easier to put endangered species at risk. There is no urgent need to cut down forests or pave over wetlands. I strongly object to this backdoor maneuver to grant favours to developers. Development should improve our society, not developers.

There are so many loopholes in this proposal that I don’t know where to begin. For every item that purports to be an improvement to the protection of our wildlife and wild/green spaces there is an escape route for those who would wantonly destroy natural spaces. Read more

STOP BILL 5. Premier Ford’s Bill 5 would give him and his Cabinet Trump-like powers. It would allow any person or business that he and his Cabinet choose to ignore any and every provincial or municipal law. Read more
