The reason the process “takes too long” is because it is necessary to protect the wildlife. This bill is basically saying “I don’t want to think about the hard this could cause. Read more

Endangered species are at risk of extinction, that is why they have been listed as endangered. Stop messing with nature and its creatures. We need to protect them or before we know it there will be no more nature and no more animals.

Doug Ford’s government is trying to quietly push through Bill 5 — a bill that would repeal Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, weaken environmental protections and hand cabinet the power to fast-track industrial development with no public input. We can’t let this happen. Read more

This new process does not help our endangered species and is only in favor of developers. Ontario will be on the path to destroying all of our protected habitats and will not help any of our endangered wildlife. If you truly care for our nature the ESA should stay in place as it is.

I oppose Bill 5. This is being pushed through quietly, and would allow the Ontario government to continue to promote private projects at the expense of our province, for purpose of profit. This is despicable and needs to be shut down immediately.
