I live in Northern Ontario, I believe this bill will negatively impact our wildlife, forests, waters and eco-tourism. Fast tracking any development is never the correct answer and will only enrich big corporations. Read more

Ecosystems are precious and important for Ontario, and our wildlife! Once you destroy an ecosystem it is gone forever! It is priceless! By removing these environmental protections you are ruining our future and endangering our wildlife . It is irresponsible.

I was a little shocked to hear what Bill 5 can do, and my family and I want the opposite: More protection for endangered species. More protection of green space and LESS easy for government to dish off land to developers, especially without public oversight and input. We do NOT want to be New York. Read more

Making it easier to destroy habitat is not an Ontario that I support. The greed is offensive. Who loses? We all do. Without a healthy environment and eco-system, we all suffer for the greed of a few. Please do not make it easier to eliminate endangered species and habitats. They have no voice. Read more

I oppose Bill 5. Bill 5 lets Doug Ford override environmental laws, wipe out endangered species protections, and silence Indigenous and public voices — all to fast-track industrial projects. It is an antidemocratic proposal. Read more

The Endangered Species Act exists because scientists have told us the value of protecting species and the importance of biodiversity not only to our ecosystem but to ourselves. Once a species is gone, it is gone. And we don't always understand how the species rely on each other. Read more
