If Doug Ford feels that Canada is not for sale why is he selling Ontario's most protected wetlands where endangered species lives off to people so they can build spas at Friday harbor? Read more

The absolute last thing that should be done right now is this, how is this a priority for the Ford government? Please leave nature alone. I have seen what was done with clear cutting Ontario place. Awful. We need nature the most right now. Read more

I oppose these changes. Chipping away at environmental protections and employing a shoot first, ask questions later approach to wild life conservation looks ill-advised. Read more

The endangered species act provides protection to a variety of species, including both the actual endangered ones and non endangered species that share similar habitats. Removing these protections would be catastrophic for thousands of species and habitats. Read more

I oppose these changes in their entirety. Environmental protections and bureaucracy exist for a reason. Species protections exist for a reason. It's absurd that the Ontario Government would sell future generations short to make a quick buck now. We need to invest in our environment and future.

This is not okay!! Protecting our wildlife is one of the things that makes me proud to be Canadian. Taking this away makes me feel VERY ashamed of my province. Already so many things have made me ashamed of what the premier has done to this province. Read more

As an evolutionary ecologist and Ontario resident, I unequivocally oppose the proposed repeal of the Endangered Species Act. In the midst of a climate crisis, dismantling protections for at-risk species is reckless and short-sighted. Read more

As a Canadian citizen and Ontario resident, I strongly oppose any of these changes. Our current regulations exist for the sake of conservation and changes will harm our environment.

No thank you Doug Ford. As an Ontario born tax payer, reducing the protection of endangered species is not the direction I want to see our province move toward. Biodiversity loss is one of the greatest threats to human kind worldwide. Read more

This is not what Ontario voters want. Do not sell out our environmental protections - if I see this government turn around after and sell off huge parcels of land, the only conclusion to make is that you are corrupt. Read more

In no way should the act be passed. This is clear definition of ecocide, and at the end we Ontarians will bear the consequences of loss habitats and animal species just because Doug Ford want to fatten up the purses of his developer friends. Read more

It is incredibly shortsighted to remove protections for animals and our environment to fast track other projects - recent years have seen unprecedented weather shifts and encroachment of wild animals into urban areas as a result of destruction of their habitats. Read more
