I strongly oppose bill 5. I want more protections for our environment, not less. This bill will harm important ecosystems and ultimately our communities.
Species conservation is a delicate balance, and one wrong move could result in eradication of a species. Even species not yet discovered can be placed at risk if unnecessary risks are taken and corners cut.

Environmental protection needs to exist for our benefit and the benefit of future generations.
Housing should be affordable and built in areas with existing infrastructure.

This bill should not be passed. It would only hurt the endangered species we are working so hard to protect by allowing companies to circumvent protection laws without public oversight. This is unjust.

I am a resident of Toronto. Born and raised. I generally vote conservative. However, Bill 5 is a ruthless and awful proposal. Since Ontario Place has been gutted of it's wild life habitats, I've seen unusual animal behaviour downtown Toronto.

I am a long time supporter of Birds Canada, I was shocked to read in their latest newsletter about the gutting of the Endangered Species Act. This will put our rapidly shrinking bird population in jeopardy.

I m completely against this attempt to subvert the regulations to protect endangered species in Ontario. We are already doing so much less than we need to do to ensure our children and their offspring enjoy the diversity of wildlife that we have left.
