Eliminating the Endangered Species Act is a horrifying notion. This is being proposed so that developers can access land without much consequence or red tape. I’m absolutely disgusted at the disregard for sensitive ecosystems and species.

Taking protection away from endangered species and unprotected wetlands that work to keep residential areas safe from flooding so developers can obtain more rights is not the Canadian way.

This would be a terrible thing to implement as it will weaken protections on already endangered species and allow the government to bypass regulations. The protections exist for a reason please do not kill the planet faster than you already are for a quick buck.

Please do not do this. Nature is sacred and should stay that way. Not everything can be lost for the sake of development and growth. We need nature in our lives! And these species need us. Is nothing precious anymore?
I am not in favour of this bill, as it places "economic growth" ahead of environmental and species protection. There will be no economy to grow if we do not prioritize the protection of our environment and the species therein.

Please don’t repeal the endangered species act. While supporting growth is necessary, we must do it responsibly. We must be responsible stewards of environment or we risk loosing it altogether. Please reconsider Bill 5.
