Homes can be placed elsewhere. Once we tear up this land that's it. This bill goes through now, 2 years from now after they have done a bunch of damage another bill will come forward to take away more protections. We can prosper without damaging what makes Ontario special. Read more

Animals have just as much of a right to their homes as we do to ours. There are many alternatives to housing than to infringe on the land of innocent animals, especially ones that need protection. Please do not allow for this bill to pass.

Nature is the one things that connects us all as Canadians. Even those who prefer not to explore the wilderness or can appreciate the wonder of plants, animals and environment. This bill hurts more than the habitats for these creatures we all love, it hurts us all. Read more

This bill is unconstitutional and would undo any work that has been done to protect endangered species in Ontario and broader Canada. It is an affront to municipal, provincial, federal, and indigenous laws that are in place to protect the environment and wildlife. Read more

I oppose this act. We need to prioritize protecting the environment at all costs. We won’t have anywhere to live if we keep destroying eco systems and increasing the risk of endangered species. Find a different way to accomplish your goal - this isn’t the right approach to take.

I strongly oppose this bill. (1) The government is not knowledgable enough to decide which species should and should not be considered endangered. I oppose government having this power as it undermines the experts who actually know anything about complex ecosystems. Read more
