I strongly oppose this bill. Climate change is the biggest threat to our world and it’s already endangered environments. We need to have stronger protection in place to help our planet, not dismantle the few we already have.

The current approach to the protection and conservation of species at risk is is necessary. , takes long because it is complicated, but that is necessary. There are no shortcuts when it comes to due diligence of surveying the impact that infrastructure will have on our environment. Read more

The people of Ontario find Bill 5 to be flawed and dangerous. For many years, and in many levels, Ontarians and Canadians have worked toward improving the planet for all species and Bill 5 is a big step backwards. Cautious development, with proper consultation, is the key.

Bill 5 represents a death sentence for our ecosystems as well as ourselves. It also happens to be irrevocably short-sighted from a financial point of view as it fails to take into account the cost that climate change acceleration and major weather events will have on Ontario and Canada. Read more
