I am strongly opposed to Bill 5, anything that would weaken the Endangered Species Act is a terrible idea! There are many ways to improve housing density and affordability without sacrificing our natural world.
This bill is unacceptable for the safety of the environment of Ontario, for endangered animals, and for Indigenous rights. I do not support this in any way, shape or form. This will prevent us from protecting so many things in Ontario and should not go forward in any capacity.
This is absolutely awful proposed legislation... it might as well have been written by lobbyists.
We are in a climate crisis and need to remediation to make the adaptation slightly more comfortable, especially with our aging population.
