I told my 9 year old what the bill was about and even they knew that it’s a bad idea. Don’t let this bill pass. Selfish developers and politicians like Doug ford need to learn some lessons instead of trying to make loop holes for their own benefits. Read more

No. Simple no. The process is there to allow a sober and dispassionate examination of all aspects of the project. It prevents a "pump and dump"which leaves the Ontario taxpayer holding the consequences bag

I am strongly opposed to this proposal. Our species and wildlife are vital to our well being. Please be proactive in your consultation with indigenous communities, and consult with them BEFORE passing this bill.

The reduction of the species at risk protection legislation proposed by the government is saddening and dangerous. As an ecology PhD student I can see how the disregard of our ecosystems will cause not only irreparable ecological damage, but also an intense loss of ecosystem services. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this. In fact, I think that more should be done to protect endangered species. Smart planning does not mean building on protected lands. Our government should have learned this when the greenbelt changes were met with public fury. Build up, not out!

I urge the Ontario government to reconsider Bill 5, which poses significant threats to our environment, Indigenous rights, and democratic processes. Repealing the Endangered Species Act and replacing it with weaker legislation undermines decades of conservation efforts. Read more
