This bill is not what Ontario wants. You said you called a vote because you wanted a strong mandate. Then listen to us. Stop this bill. Protecting the environment is important. Protecting endangered species is important. There is a reason why studies are done before houses are built. Read more

Protecting endangered species means protecting all areas they are known to be active in, not just their supposed home. A singular den does not account for all the areas an animal may exist in for other means of survival. Protecting these species means ensuring they not only survive, but thrive. Read more

STOP KILLING OUR NATUAL SPACES AND SPECIES! Dating back to time immemorial and the Indigenous Peoples of this land on Turtle Island, it is absolutely clear that biodiversity matters; without it, we are killing ourselves. Read more

As a university graduate in the field of biology and a person who works in wildlife conservation, I disagree with this and do not support it. The Endangered Species Act (ESA) has been protecting vulnerable wildlife for decades and I will not support it being repealed for profit. Read more

I urge the Ontario government to withdraw Bill 5 in its entirety and instead work with environmental experts, Indigenous leaders and the public to strengthen — not dismantle — our systems of environmental protection.

Endangered species matter to Ontario residents. As a lifetime resident I do not stand for these changes that weaken our environment. Ontario green spaces need to be protected, not sold to the highest bidder. This is not what future generations need or want. Read more

I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.

Canada is extreme diverse in biodiversity, we need stronger protections for the environment and endangered species. There should be no short cuts for any industry or business that has money as a priority over preserving the earth. I strongly disagree with Bill 5, it should absolutely not pass.
