Our land and the people, animals, and plants that it nurtures are sacred to us and are irreplaceable. I strongly denounce Bill 5 to the highest degree as once you pave paradise and put up a parking lot, you never get it back. Read more

I oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.

This bill is an absolute insult to environmental conservation and I can’t believe we as a province would even consider something like this. Bulldozing Ontario’s wildlife for capital gains will only lead to further problems in the future. I am against this proposal. Read more

Please uphold the protections for the environment, habitat, and wildlife by not changing the Endangered Species Act. Our economy does not need to be unleashed our home to all needs to be protected.

The endangered species act protects at risk species, but it also protects humans. Any laws which protect the environment, protects our air, earth and water. We require these to survive. Laws which protect the environment should have full immunity from provincial level political influence. Read more

I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want stronger protection for our environment and less shortcuts for industries trying to undermine their environmental responsibilities! I strongly oppose overriding the law in special economic zones!

Our future is not how many houses we build it should be how many species of plants and animals we save. There is not justification on this planet to say that these helpless animals are not worth saving just so the ford government can help their friends line their pockets with more money. Read more

Ontario has too many people and industrial areas. Whether it is air, water, garbage or other pollution, it is already very serious. In addition, over-development has led to the destruction of the natural ecology. Wild animals no longer have a suitable safe environment to survive. Read more

This bill is simply a means for Doug Ford to skirt around the red tape in place to stop developers he is acquainted with. This bill is reckless and puts endangered species at risk of further harm and does not honour the land our nation is built upon. Read more

To repeal this act, is utterly sickening. This is essentially stating that human lives are more valuable than other other lifeform. Critters and wildlife are essential to our ecosystem. Read more

Proposing that we allow unchecked slaughtering of endangered plants and animals in the name of the “economy” is despicable. We need MORE environmental protections, not to repeal them.

We need to continue to protect endangered species, even more so than before. The loss of ecosystems and biodiversity has an immediate negative impact on everything important to people too. Clean air, clean water, pollinators for our food, seed dispersal and more. Read more
