Please stop stripping away the already limited greenery we have in the city. The recent coyote activity has been terrible for everyone who actually live in the area. What about the public’s opinion about this? Read more

I urge the government to reconsider its decision to repeal the Endangered Species Act. Now more than ever we need to preserve fragile ecosystems and biodiversity. Resource extraction must be done responsibly in order to maintain a world for future generations.

This proposal is myopic and harmful to the long-term health of Ontario’s environment and wildlife. The government should protect nature and improve it for future generations, not destroy it. The Ford government must stop dismantling environmental protections and harming wildlife. Read more

This bill is equally as ignorant and disgusting as it is abhorrent with terrifying consequences for the future of Ontario. It takes "too long" for a reason. Delays and costs for infrastructure are absolutely necessary for ecological preservation. Read more

I have significant concerns with the proposed changes to these acts. Protecting nesting/den habitat is virtually useless if there are not also protections for the land necessary to sustain life and meet a species survival needs, such as food. Read more

The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are a serious step backward for environmental protection in Ontario. Shifting to a “registration-first” model prioritizes speed and economic growth over the careful, science-based review necessary to truly protect endangered species. Read more

This is very unethical to change since this bill is proven to work, these changes will not only cost the animals their habitats but the jobs of the people helping bring them back from being endangered. Read more

"Under the proposed new approach, instead of waiting for the ministry to approve permits, most proponents will be able to begin an activity immediately after registering. Registered activities will be required to meet all associated requirements set out in new regulations. Read more

First I believe replacing the current Endangered Species act is a terrible idea. This act allows said endangered species to be unharmed and left to repopulate the dwindling numbers. Second, where was this in Doug Ford's platform when he called the election? Read more

I am extremely concerned with the dismantling of the Endangered Species Act that will cause extensive loss of life within Ontario's natural spaces, wherever at-risk species and spaces exist within this province. Read more

I don't believe that the new/proposed definition of "habitat" is sufficient - this new definition (“a dwelling place or the area immediately around it, such as a den, nest or other similar place, that is occupied or habitually occupied by one or more members of a species for the purposes of breeding Read more

I believe this is the wrong approach. It would be more wise to keep the permit first rule in place and increase permit approval efficiency by upgrading technologies and investing in training.
