I cannot state strongly enough how much I am against these changes. Species at risk need MORE protections, not less. Narrowing the scope of habitat makes no sense at all - animals need more than just the immediate area around a den / nesting site to survive. Read more

Absolutely nobody voted to repeal the endangered Species act. This is a massive partisan overreach that will negatively impact all of Ontario. The complete failure of this government to address the housing shortage is not a justification to ravage the natural beauty of Ontario. Read more

This is being done purely to benefit Doug Ford and his cronies and NOT the people of Ontario or Canada. We have seen in the past that environmental protections are good for human beings as well as nature. Read more

Please protect endangered species. This provincial government has already been far too reckless and wasteful, to say nothing of its being vindictive, negligent, uncooperative, and unresponsive.

Should this pass, it would give the government of Ontario too much power regarding the safety and wellbeing of all species, but especially threatened or endangered ones. Read more

Conservation of endangered and at risk species is extremely important. Once destroyed, we cannot get them back. Biodiversity and the maintenance of balanced ecosystems are infinitely more important than for-profit resource extraction. Without balanced ecosystems, our own species cannot survive. Read more

I am firmly against this proposed bill, particularly with respects to the proposed amendments to the ESA and its subsequent repeal and replacement by the erroneously named "Species Conservation Act". Read more

Who is this for? Who benefits? Who voted for this? Gutting regulations to the point of being useless, all to ravage and sacrifice this province's ecology to benefit of the premier's wallet. Read more

i heavily disagree with allowing work to begin before impact analysis and approval from a governing body with environmental conservation as its priority. developers will always work in their own interests and the damage they can do before investigation has occurred may be irreparable.

Please don’t do this. I am strongly against this bill and the implications it has if the government gets to ultimately decide what an endangered species is. Ontario, Canada, and the world at large need more protection for critical endangered species, not less. Read more

Ontario does not need more new housing. Cities and regions like Kitchener-Waterloo are full of vacant spaces that can be renovated, however for reasons such as greed are preventing these already existing spaces from being used by those who need it. Read more

I am strongly against this proposal. Protecting endangered species is important, and Endangered Species Act should not be weakened, and it definitely should not be removed. Read more

Hello, I'm a citizen of the GTA, I was born in Ontario and have happily lived here my entire life. The argument that the endangered species act causes "unnecessary" delays, is foolish. This is a bad idea, and will only hurt our already struggling environment. Read more
