I am deeply concerned that the proposed legislation will accelerate habitat destruction, habitat fragmentation and species loss. This will result in degraded ecosystem function and will be detrimental to human health and wellbeing.

We love our birds — they are a vital part of Ontario’s beauty and biodiversity. Protecting endangered birds should be non-negotiable. Weakening these protections puts irreplaceable species and habitats at risk. Ontario must prioritize conservation over short-term development. Read more
