I opposed Bill 5. I want strong environmental protections and we need to help endangered species and our ecosystems. I oppose short cuts for industry. There has been irreversible damage to the world because of this. I'm commenting now before it's too late. I oppose Bill 5. Read more

The “Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act“ is well crafted to unleash our endangered species to the gates of death and extinction! It’s despicable that this false pretense is being used to destroy regulations that set us apart from the United States - our environmental care. Read more

I strongly oppose this bill. I do not support weakening or replacing our endangered species act. I do not support the idea of providing ways for companies and projects to bypass environmental protections and regulations - or indeed any other laws that they would normally need to conform with. As an Ontario resident and environmentalist I do not support the proposed changes as they put species at risk and allow for the irreversible harm of the environment that we all rely on.

I do not support the reckless speed at which species conservation is moving forward. Registration before any permitting process and then assessing damage afterwards and having “voluntary” opportunities to implement habitat and restoration seems incredibly reckless. Read more

I want to put on record that I'm against Bill 5. The proposed changes will move Ontario away from a science-based approach to protecting wildlife to one that gives power to developers, industry and the Premier's cabinet. Read more

This is despicable. Ford and the MNRF won't be happy until they abolish all our Wildlife. This needs to be STOPPED. Bad enough the horrendous situation at Ontario Place ended in death to so many birds and animals. ENOUGH
