1. Schedules 2 and 10 of Bill 5 should be withdrawn by the Ontario government because they eviscerate the protection of endangered species in Ontario and because they set up economic development as adversarial to Treaty relationships rather than finding common interests and including First Nations i Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned that the proposed legislation will accelerate habitat destruction, habitat fragmentation and species loss. This will result in degraded ecosystem function and will be detrimental to human health and wellbeing.

I strongly oppose this bill! The way to a prosperous economy for Ontario is not through our sacred, protected, and dwindling wetlands, short hills, forests, beaches, and waters. Environmental protections cause delays for good reason! Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned with the proposal to eliminate Ontario's Endangered Species Act. As a proud Ontarian, it is disappointing to see the province taking steps backward in conservation. Lire davantage

No to Bill 5. We see what's happening south of us. Let's take a pause and stop repeating history. Sometimes concessions need to be made. We need to honour the Indigenous peoples- not just pay lip service and we need to honour the environment as well. Lire davantage

Doug Ford this smells like a Trump /Republican move. This is not responsible government. You are going back on promises and this will be your legacy. Do not replicate the BS we see south of the border. Represent Ontario NOT the developers.

the audacious short sightedness of this bill and the greed upon which it is founded is disgusting. We can not survive without wild life we can not survive without a healthy thriving ecosystem....cars and houses actually do not feed people. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose Bill 5, the "Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act". What this government describes as "common sense" makes no sense. Lire davantage

Bill 5 undermines the democratic process and is one the worst pieces of legislation Ontario has ever seen.

We love our birds — they are a vital part of Ontario’s beauty and biodiversity. Protecting endangered birds should be non-negotiable. Weakening these protections puts irreplaceable species and habitats at risk. Ontario must prioritize conservation over short-term development. Lire davantage

Unchecked development, removing habitat protection, eliminating recovery strategies and accountability, removing the needs for permits/review before killing/harming a species, allowing unqualified government officials to make decisions that should be based on science, not convenience. Lire davantage
