There is plenty of under utilized and pre zoned land available for development in Ontario within city and town boundaries. We need to avoid building on green fields and protect natural areas as a top priority. We need to make SARA stronger not weaker. Read more

The proposed changes to this act are ridiculous. The survival of a species requires not just it's immediate residence but also it's Source of food and water, so the change to the definition of habitat will put species at risk at additional risk. Read more

Bill 5 is a travesty that, if passed, will harm future generations in ways we can not imagine, however history shows us that damages will not be reversed for over hundreds of years. Treaty rights can not be ignored. Read more

When a species becomes extinct it is permanent. An endangered species is on a path to permanent extinction unless we provide all the protections and remediation efforts. Read more

The changes being proposed by Bill 5 threaten the biodiversity that defines Ontario’s natural heritage and the wildlife we need to protect. I believe Bill 5 contradicts not only science-based conservation practices but also Canada’s global commitments to halt biodiversity loss. Read more

Terrible idea. Why destroy habitats of species at risk for something so pointless? This is obviously a ploy by Ford to put money in his own pocket while taking away crucial land from the people and the animals.
