There has been zero consultation with 133 First Nation communities in the province that exists because of our treaty agreements This legislation is a violation of UNDRIP and the consistent lack of FPIC is extremely irresponsible of this government to continue to move forward with. Read more

Bill 5 says it’s about protecting endangered species but that’s a lie. It’s aiming to end the rule of law like Trump is south of us. I don’t want any developments or developers to ever be exempt from legislation. We have legislation for reasons. Please stop Bill 5. It is not what Ontarians want.

I oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act. The current legislation is science-based and meets the needs. The changes do not guarantee long-term environmental protection and weaken essential safeguards for species and habitats, instead it is all about economics. Read more

I strongly oppose this proposal. This proposal provides no evidence that habitat protections are preventing development. The proposal provides no evidence that habitat regulations cannot be overcome with appropriate planning. Read more

We cannot compromise the health of our beautiful land for the sake of the economy. All these changes will do is make it easier to destroy the environment in the name of profit, and Ontarians like myself will not stand idly by and watch them come to pass. Read more

I am writing to express my extreme disappoint in your proposed Bill 5, Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act. With the changes to the protections of our wildlife and their habitat, this conservative government is doing the opposite of protecting Ontario. It is destroying Ontario. Read more

I am absolutely opposed to this bill. Our wildlife is precious and should be protected. If anything more support should be given to protect our wildlife especially the ones who are endangered. Once they are extinct they are gone forever. Please stop this bill from going g through. I oppose it
