As a Torontonian since 1976, and a proud member of the Turtle Protectors ( Mishiikenh Gizhaasowin) I strongly oppose this proposed change to the endangered species act. I am an Ontario citizen who is concerned about Bill 5. While I am supportive of prioritizing development, it must be done wisely, rather than at the expense of our environment. The reason we choose to live in Canada is the abundance of beautiful natural areas and biodiversity. Read more

Oppose the reduction in 'harass' language in the proposed act and the reduction in definitions of where and what is protected (only near animal dwellings e.t.c) and the reduction in protections for migratory birds and marine life. Read more
