Bill 5 is not the way to get more housing built, and it’s not the way to safeguard our economy. Municipal building permits sit without any action, yet developers and the Ford government keep pushing for reduced restrictions to help developers get homes built. Read more

the effects of our disregard for nature are being seen more and more frequently. please think before reducing our wetland, farmers fields and forests to sprawling homes and asphalt. look at more efficient building methods on the land we already have available. we need housing not houses.

I do not support the efforts underway to diminish species protection in Ontario, in fact, the efforts of the Province must swing the pendulum towards greater genes, species, and ecosystems, recognition, restoration and enhancement if we are to move towards the future we want. Read more

Please do not make any changes to the endangered species act. This government's continued attack on the environment of Southern Ontario has to stop, all so that you can sell some more land for bribes. Read more

These changes have the capacity to cause irreparable damages to the very important species and ecosystems that exist within Ontario. There is absolutely no need to take back very important barriers that are in place that allow for a stricter EA process, especially in terms of endangered species. Read more

I care incredibly for the environment and for species at risk. Having worked firsh-hand on projects that directly researched and helped species at risk, the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are extremely concerning to me. Read more

Conserving endangered species should not be a voluntary act. Taking care of our ecosystems is more important than building a tunnel or unnecessary highways. This proposal reiks of corruption.

I oppose Bill 5, and I demand stronger protections for endangered species. I oppose short cuts for industry with no public oversight. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones. I am completely against Bill 5, and I think it is a heinous act against nature and the environment. Read more

I think that it would be foolish and short sighted to neglect animals that require our attention on the land that we love so much. Land that has provided and will only continue to provide for us if we do our part. Read more
