I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Read more

I don't understand why there is this narrative that environmental protection is red tape stopping housing development. There is tons of space for both new building and densification in all our cities and towns without needing any change to the existing framework. Read more

I urge you to withdraw this proposal immediately. This legislation would remove important protections for vulnerable species and violate the sovereignty and rights of our Indigenous peoples. Read more

Changes to this act can be very harmful to keystone species. Changing the term habitat can be very dangerous and cause many animals to lose their home. These changes should be reconsidered before anything is done

Doug Ford et al, without protection of our endangered species you are pinning economics over the planet. Don’t you have kids? Grandkids? Your success lies in the quality of life you are leaving future generations and not based on the dollar value of your handshake deals and ribbon cutting. Read more

The proposed definition of habitat is woefully inadequate and will lead to indirect and direct harm of endangered species. It displays a profound lack of understanding or willful ignorance of the ecological systems and environmental pressures that impact an organism’s entire life cycle and needs. Read more
