I am writing to express strong opposition to the proposed amendments under ERO 025-0380, which seek to modify the regulatory framework governing wildlife custodians (rehabilitators) and falconers in Ontario. Read more

This proposal concerns me. Environmental protections are in place for a reason and should not be abandoned because it simplifies development. The Ford government needs to do their jobs properly and stop opting for shortcuts at others' expense.

This plan is ludicrous and must be stopped from ever seeing the light of day!!! Doug Ford has no right to sentence wildlife to death and extinction so he and his friends can get richer. We re-elected Ford to defeat Trump not to kill our planet and its species.

Yet another brazen act of disregard for anything but profit. Ontario place was gutted with thousands of displaced animals as a result- I imagine these new polices will do even more damage without a checks or balances. Shameful.

I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Read more

As an Ontario citizen, I am not interested in less protections for the animals and land of Ontario. We are Beautiful Ontario for a reason. Economic growth is not the gold standard of success. We must protect the land, plants and animals that live there. It’s their home too. Read more

This is a disgusting overreach by the Ontario government. The updated proposal will undoubtedly harm many native endangered species with little recourse. Part of what makes our province so unique is our nature and wildlife, and I do not think that “sustainable” economic growth should outweigh that. Read more

I understand the need for efficient approval processes to address the housing crisis in Ontario, but removing essentially all protections for Species at Risk in Ontario is not the way to do it. Read more

This change will directly harm species at risk in Ontario. The delays being discussed are necessary for the betterment of our beloved Canadian ecosystems as they allow proper inspections and recommendations based upon observed data. Convenience should not overtake protection. Read more

This proposal is defined by a profound lack of forethought, and basic understanding of why we have SARA and so called "red tape" for environmental protections. The first thing that comes to mind is the green belt scandal. Read more

I am writing to express my opposition to any proposal to repeal or significantly weaken Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007. This legislation plays a critical role in identifying, protecting, and supporting the recovery of species at risk and their habitats across the province. Read more

It pains my heart to see the Ontario government want to ignore experts in environmental protection at a time where we are clearly suffering from the consequences of having done this for far too long as a species. Read more

The idea that habitat is a static situation for wild animals is completely absurd. Wildlife has a very wide range of requirements in order to survive. Turtles, snakes and amphibians need access from one stage of their life to the next. Read more
