We have no right to allow species to disappear because we want to take their space. They have equal rights, and have existed alongside humans for a very long time. It is wrong to willfully destroy their habitats. Read more

I am deeply saddened to think that our government would reduce protections for endangered species at a time when they are at greatest risk. I strongly oppose any measures that weaken environmental protections and endanger the habitat of our native species. Read more

I oppose Bill 5 because it removes protections, ignores science, and violates agreements with Indigenous nations. It will destroy fragile ecosystems and potentially decimate wildlife species that are already threatened. Read more

The plan to diminish protection on endangered species will seriously harm Ontario’s biodiversity. Endangered species need all the protection they can get in the face of dwindling habitat and low population rates. Please reconsider what is truly important here. Read more

Ontario is the only place in Canada with a Carolinian Forest Habitat, which has more species than any other ecoregion in Canada. Removing protection from habitats is not progress. Read more

I do not agree whatsoever with loosening or changing our endangered species act. Impact of development in green spaces already fragments fragile populations of species at risk and already listed. Read more
