Please please do the right thing and stop this treated sewage proposal now. You and I know all of the obvious proven reasons this should not go through. I will no longer support searchmont ski resort in any way if it does.

Goulais waters and surrounding waters are not a dumping ground. Dumping in water ways is pollution to both the land and to those who live in the area. Both human and animals. Diseases and pollutions by dumping in these water ways or any for that matter is not the answer.

I am a Goulais River resident that lives downstream from Searchmont. I am strongly against this proposal as there are numerous potential negative impacts and risk that could damage the ecosystem that is very fragile.

This water is used for bathing, cleaning and shouldn't be contaminated with waste. Animals fish birds use this area as well. Searchmont should have to build a holding tank like everyone else. And get it pump out like all the other people have to do. Don't destroy our water.
The environment and people living in the area should not be exposed to the effluent of Searchmont - it should be their responsibility to maintain/upgrade their sewage system to support their needs- their issue should not be passed on to others and could potentially harm the surrounding environment.
I object to ANY form of water treatment that does not provide the HIGHEST level of environmental protection Possible. There is no excuse to taint our water when it has not been tainted.

As a Sault Ste. Marie resident, and someone who enjoys recreating in and around the Goulais River, I cannot support the approval of dumping treated sewage into river.

I strongly oppose the dumping of treated sewage into the Goulais River. As a resident within the Goulais watershed, I rely on this water system for safe, clean water and for recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, and canoeing.

I’m not sure why this is even considered a viable option. The goulais river is an ecosystem with native species and wildlife. You are proposing to completely disrupt this ecosystem by dumping waste. What right does the ski resort have to use and abuse this land ?
