I am concerned about searchmont resorts proposed waste water treatment plant. I recreate and fish in the goulais river and do not want waste water entering the Goulais; especially not for some american buisness . The locals do not want this. We must protect the goulais river.
We lived and raised our four children in Goulais River - they each have their own homes in Goulais now. They played and swam in the "Goulais" all the time - can you honestly say my 8 grandkids will be fine to do the same? I don't thinks so! Does profit trump the environment?

I think dumping sewage, even if treated, into a river where so many people live, fish, and swim should not be acceptable. Whatever Searchmont's previous methods of dealing with the sewage water were, they should be improved and developed to accommodate needs without dumping in the Goulais River.

I'm deeply concerned about the sewage effluent that will be going into the Goulais River from Searchmont Ski Resort. I think it is a great that they are expanding and it will be good for the community but I'm concerned that the sewage effluent will cause irrepairable damage to the environment.
