Treated sewage is still sewage. It does not belong in our river system. Or children don't need to be swimming in it, nor do we need to be eating fish out of the river that has treated sewage in it. This is horrible for our community. Read more

This proposal shouldn't even be on the table. NOTHING (treated or not) should be expelled into any fresh water body. Keep our waterways clean for all to enjoy. The Goulais River flows into Lake Superior and many people drink water directly from this lake. Read more

If this proposal goes through it will be devastating for not only the river but lake superior as well. The Goulais River is full of diverse wildlife from several species of fish to otters, birds etc. Including all of the wildlife in this area that depend on the waters for survival. Read more

The goulais river is wild river. It is one of the places I have enjoyed fishing and exploring my entire life. It has a huge variety of fish species and many places to target them. Every time I visit the goulais I am left in awe of its natural beauty. Read more

I do not support this. I relocated to Goulais River to get away from this. Please do not dump anything in the water that I swim and fish in. It is selfish and solely considering profits - not the environment or the people who live here. Read more

I think real consideration to not allowing this proposal to go forward. The risk of this system not working properly and contaminating the Goulais River is extremely high. Many people down stream of this would be effected for ever and not reversible. Read more

The proposed filtration system at Searchmont resort and its draining into the Goulais river should not happen ever. There are already too many environmental negative impacts caused by businesses. The Goulais River needs to be protected from any and all pollutions. Read more

I'm against this proposal. It is outlandish for anyone in their right mind, to agree with this. Do not pollute our waters for pure profit. Why not use the waste for making their snow? Or admit that they are now at full compacity. Do not let them pollute our beautiful river.

I am very concerned about many aspects of this project. I live on Goulais Bay and the water temperature seems to rise every year. I fear with the added effluent we will be looking at a severe algae problem in the shallow bay almost immediately when the summer weather hits. Read more
