It is completely inappropriate to discharge waste that can disturb and destroy a vital and very important water system. This reminds me of unregulated and disastrous government oversight from back in the 1950's. Step up and save our aquatic systems.

I vigorously disagree with this proposal. The waste water should not be allowed to be dumped into the Goulais River . This is a fragile area for all fish and wildlife and we need to protect this river for future generations.

I am very against this project as the goulais river is an important water way that deserves more than tourist sewage. Lake Superior and the surrounding area are a haven for wildlife and that includes aquatic. Surgeons are iconic.

My great concern is the fact that the Goulais River has notoriously low water levels during summer, which concentrates toxins from the sewage exponentially, thus endangering wildlife and humans swimming and / or drawing water. Read more

I have a cottage here and plan to retire soon. I don’t support this proposal. I don’t want to see development in this area. As a First Nations person, I don’t support this either. Let the resort take other options.

As a Batchewana First Nation Member and steward to the land. I stand against this. The actual detailed data was not given as a weight per cubic meter per hour. we were given a percentage. Not a what and how much answer. Our answer is NO.

If there is any chance of waste water being discharged into the goulais river this proposal must follow the precautionary principle. This river is not only a place of biological diversity but also of cultural heritage for Indigenous and settler peoples. Read more

The goulais river is a long meandering river that empties into Lake Superior. Many homes and cottages are situated along its banks. People swim , fish , boat , draw water from it . Keep it CLEAN and free from any discharge/ treated substance. NO to sewage treatment discharge from Searchmont

This is unacceptable Why do business get to pollute the water but if anyone living along the river and Bay has to follow 1 million environmental things to make sure that waste does not get into the water. There’s definitely a better solution. They just don’t want to pay for it.

I was a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for 35 years, I would stake my life in saying this, nobody can guarantee that there will never be a discharge of untreated or partially treated sewage into a receiving stream. Read more

As someone who has resided in the area most of my life, I feel I need to comment on the detrimental impact this proposed facility will have on the Searchmont area and Goulais River watershed, and I strongly object to the proposed construction and operation of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) tha Read more

I am opposed to this idea. Another wealthy business wanting to exploit the the environment for financial gains. The Earth's waterways are suffering! There is no more water to give. Let's do the right thing and preserve the river. We don't need a ski resort.... We need water! Read more
