Regional areas would be much better instead of being fragmented organizations. More consistent decisions. The Sault Ste Marie Conservation agency needs better leadership, strategic direction and oversight. More outdoor activities should be allowed. Read more

Conservation authorities should absolutely not be merged. What is best for a region in regards to conservation should be a local decision. Merging an area this large would inevitable neglect smaller conservation zones and local input. Read more

I do not support the consolidation of Ontario's 36 Conservation Authorities into 7 regional agencies. There is no evidence that the merger is needed and if inconsistencies need to be addressed, there are other mechanisms that do no involve a costly, complicated, and needless overhaul. Read more

I do not support this proposed change. This plan does not provide sufficient detail to show value for money or sufficient reason to disrupt a system that is already doing good work. Our conservation authorities already provide efficient service. Read more

Th conservation authority is criminal and self serving. Look at their history. They a parasitic entity that has weaseled its way into the inner workings of our towns and society. They make their own rules. They misappropriate property and power.

I serve on our local Municipal Committee of Adjustment (COA). The COA often has interaction with the local Conservation Authority (CA). The local CA has very good people on the ground and provides valued input when lot severances are sought. Read more
