I do not agree with the presented statements on the benefits of amalgamation. Currently our community has an excellent relationship with LTVCA. The personnel are very knowledgeable and responsive to our local environmental issues and priority needs. Read more

I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. Bigger government is ALWAYS less efficient and leads to disenfranchisement of it's residents. Please do not take away local control! Read more

I do not support the newly proposed boundaries and believe the conservation authorities should be kept as local as possible. We agree with the positions stated by the Hamilton Conservation Authority.

As a Conservation Authority member I am firmly against the merger. Local management is key to understanding and managing these regions for safety, planning, resource management and recreation. Local conservation authority is vital to the well being of our communities.

We live close to a number of Hamilton conservation areas. This reminds me of the decade old vote to join Hamilton in Waterdown, Dundas and other independent areas. The promis was similar. Reduced taxes, improved efficiency in management. Improved services. The reality has been very different. Read more

I agree with the Hamilton conservation authority that remaining separate is best to serve each area with their specific conservation needs. More consistent and specific guidelines across Ontario is a more sustainable and inclusive solution.
