I have been a member of the Hamilton Conservation Authority since I moved to Hamilton. They do an excellent job here and there is no benefit to merging them into a larger entity that will reduce local autonomy.

I do not support the merger of conservation authorities. I believe a merger will make it impossible to address local contexts and needs. I am concerned about how expensive mergers are, and it does not seem like a benefit is clear.
