Hello I know the Grand river water shed emptys into Lake Erie but I think it would be better linked to Toronto and Niagara as it would have similar issues given the total watershed.
Thames, Syheman and those spicific reagions have there own unique requirements.

We need more conservation authorities, not less. Amalgamating the CAs will mean fewer people on the ground doing the important field work. It will also lead to less regionally-specific recommendations.

I think that the HCA's comments regarding local control of watersheds is vital to each current authority. Having said that I see the opportunity to reduce executive/sr. management costs. There is no information as to what the new organization would look like or how they would offer memberships.

1. The Town of Mono does not support consolidation as proposed. The reasons for not supporting it are in accord with the ERO submissions made by Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA).

I would like to submit my comment opposing the proposed changes to the Conservation Authorities in Ontario. The seven regional Conservation Authorities would not provide the kind of local focus that watersheds, municipalities, and diverse populations need.
