A new proposal ‘Ontario’s Sustainable Bait Management Strategy’, (ERO Number 019-0518) has replaced this notice (012-9791) effective September 30, 2019. Feedback received from this policy proposal has been reviewed and incorporated in the new policy.
We have made two changes to the boundary of Killbear Provincial Park. We added a large parcel of land to protect a variety of wetlands and Massassauga rattlesnake habitat, and we removed a small area to resolve an encroachment by the Township of Carling’s landfill site.

Bill 132: Better for People, Smarter for Business Act, 2019 is the third in a series of bills through Ontario’s Open for Business Action Plan. The bill introduces new measures to further ease the regulatory burden to help businesses, people, schools, hospitals and municipalities.
A decision has been made to implement an automatic financial penalty as part of a graduated penalty approach for hunters who fail to submit their mandatory hunter report(s). This penalty is an additional tool to promote hunter reporting compliance and improve reporting data used to make wildlife management decisions.
The Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines is ready to proceed with the rehabilitation of the former Long Lake Gold Mine site. Project planning was carried out in accordance with the Class Environmental Assessment for Activities of the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines under the Mining Act (Class Environmental Assessment).

Dufferin Aggregates a Division of CRH Canada Group Inc. application for a Class A licence to extract aggregate from above the water table and for the establishment of a new pit known as the Alps Pit, has been approved.
