The government has made changes to the Planning Act and City of Toronto Act to support increasing housing supply and streamlining planning approvals.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 6615-C6GTRT on September 3, 2021, which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 0072-BFQMK8, for Kanata North Landowners Group Inc. located in Ottawa, Ontario.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of September 7, 2025.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Nicli Aggregates Inc. in the Municipality of Thames Centre to reduce the north setback to 0m changing the final depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table in this area of the site.

We have approved the three regulated manuals under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act (CFSA). The revisions align with the Sustainable Growth: Ontario’s Forest Sector Strategy and modernize the forest management planning and wood measurement processes while continuing to provide for the sustainability of Ontario’s forests.

Permit to Take Water No. 6328-DKGJMY was issued to The North Bay Golf and Country Club, Limited on September 29, 2025. Water will be taken from one well, one pond and one watercourse for the purpose of golf course irrigation.

A new Permit to Take Water No. 3407-BPDMK5 has been issued to North Leslie Residential Landowners Group Inc. on June 11, 2020 for dewatering purposes located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of December 31, 2021.

The ENDM has preformed the required securing of petroleum products, chemicals and waste necessary to minimize impacts to the environment by completing rehabilitation activities at the Cobalt Refinery. (CLOSED)

The request by Cambridge Aggregates Inc. to authorize an additional entrance into a pit operating in the Township of North Dumfries has been approved.

Permit to Take Water No. 0388-D47GWS was issued to North Halton Golf and Country Club Limited on April 19, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 4000-BXXJ6R for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from Black Creek and one irrigation pond in the Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton, Ontario for 3 years.

This decision is for a renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 1777-AHCLBJ, issued to North Halton Golf and Country Club Limited. Water will be taken from one pond and one creek for golf course irrigation purposes. Permit No. 4000-BXXJ6R was issued on February 05, 2021 until December 31, 2023.

The proposed reclassification was cancelled.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada) a combined tonnage increase of 100,000 tonnes to licence 624927 and 5489, in the Township of North Dumfries.
