I believe we have strict enough policies in place. I like to trap my own minnows year around to keep costs down. I never dump minnows in other water bodies to stop the spread of diseases. Live bait is the way I have always loved to fish. If live bait were banned I may stop fishing Lire davantage

I am totally against these proposed changes. I have lived in Northern Ontario well over 35 years. I see the north constantly having to put up with these changes due to southern Ontario problems. Lire davantage

l have been an angler for most of my life but recently I have begun to fish at my new camp. If this policy goes through I will no longer be able to get bait without having to drive another hour or so past my camp. Lire davantage

As an outfitter ,I get visitors from the US , Manitoba , Quebec even Germany .I have yet to see one fisherman bringing fish bait from out of my area .They always call to know if I have some and if I don't have any , where to get some near by. Lire davantage

as per our talks I feel no one should have any need to have more then 4 dozen minnows at one time, per person. I also feel the need to add another line in around the beardmore area. no live bait to be transferred north of that line. Lire davantage

I have a cottage on Long Lake at Charlton Ontario and totally disagree with what is being proposed. Long Lake would be considered a Provincial Park as it has the Englehart Fine Sand Plain and Waterway Provincial Park. Lire davantage

We are strongly opposed to the elimination of the use of live bait in Long Lake (Sharpe and Robillard Townships) as it is partially enclosed in the Englehart River Fine Sand Plain and Waterway Provincial Park. We are not opposed to some restrictions on the importation of life bait. Lire davantage

Dear Scott, I am an angler but agree that these policies are necessary. I particularly favour the policies pertaining to bait usage in provincial parks. At least SOME areas need this level of protection, if not more. Lire davantage

As a family group of 6 (3 generations) we used to take a canoe trip to Basswood Lake Minnesota/Ontario border lake and camped in Ontario for about 20 years, but due to the numerous restrictions placed on fishermen our group hasn't vacationed there in over 10 years. Lire davantage

Regarding the policy of providing/keeping receipts for bait purchased, in NWOntario, you are allowed to trap/keep 10 dozen minnows per person for personal usage. Please tell me how this will work? Lire davantage

I think the restrictions regarding moving angler caught baitfish in BMZ F should be only restricted to the same watershed over against the same waterbody. Lire davantage
