I am writing in support of the Yonge-Eglinton Official Plan Amendment No. 405 (“OPA 405”) as adopted by the City of Toronto, as well as to express my concerns about the overdevelopment in Yonge-Eglinton area, especially the North East block of Yonge and Eglinton.

As a resident of the Yonge-Eglinton Secondary plan area. I strongly support OPA 405 and ask that it be approved in its current form.

I welcome the continual development of high density housing in the Yonge and Eglinton area, especially near the Yonge subway and the Eglinton LRT. In my opinion, Toronto is developing into a world class city.

As senior citizens living in the Yonge/Eglinton area for the last two years, we have noticed an increase in shadowing and a decrease in sunlight, due to the height of the new buildings.

re OPA 405 Midtown in Focus I strongly support this plan and encourage the Minister to support it as well. Having grown up in Small Town Ontario, as part of a community, with appropriate programmes for all ages and including schools, recreational facilities and green space.

I have growing concerns regarding the increasing building density in the Yonge and Eglinton area. The side streets are congested with traffic, partially due to the Crosstown construction, but also because more and more people are living in the area.
