We need to protect our water resources much more efficiently and effectively. Allowing corporations to take nearly unlimited amounts of water basically fkr free is just unfair. Lire davantage

Our natural resources are extremely valuable. It would be a shame to lose those to corporations like Nestle that are essentially stealing from us

Please stop selling our water. It's bad enough we are doing it, but please don't make it worse and extend their rights. It's like the basic "evil villain captalist" thrope. Bottled water is a sham.

As a life-long resident of Ontario, I find the current water bottling situation morally problematic. It takes groundwater resources out of natural environment and watersheds, produces horrendous plastic waste and is being done at a fraction of the fees that should be charged. Lire davantage

Embarrassing you cowards can't take action against your corporate overlords when it applies to our natural resources. Shame on you for letting Nestle rape our country for profits while people starve to death.

Hello, I do not feel that companies like Nestle pay enough for the water that they sell. They should be charged significantly more even if it results in a drastic increase in the price of bottled water. Hopefully this will also help the public avoid one time use plastic water bottles. Thanks

I believe we need to protect our limited natural resources from being exploited. When water runs out the company pulling the water can simply leave, while an entire communities cannot easily. Let's have more control over our land and natural resources.

Absolutely extend the moratorium. Fresh water is this country’s greatest natural resource and it’s being Essentially given to companies and sold back to us in polluting plastic bottles. Absurd.

With climate change accelerating at a terrifying rate, Canada's freshwater lakes are very quickly going to become more valuable than our oil or other natural resources. We need to nip this in the bud now before the value of our water rises even higher. Lire davantage

Why is the government wanting to provide which brings in a revenue of less than $.05c/litre. The corporation sells these bottles for 100 times of this cost. Moreover, this is damaging to the environment and tap water is already clean in one of the cleanest country in the world.

I'm honestly commenting somewhat blind, and I apologize as I've not done the research I feel I should to be confident submitting a comment; however, it's hard not to feel compelled to act because when I see articles and discussions online there is an emotional response to the content. As a resident of Ontario, I am extremely concerned by the reckless commoditization of our precious natural resources. In the context of rapidly declining fresh water around the world, we in fact should be treating it with increased care. Lire davantage

Water should be protected and not be taken by big conglomerates to be sold back to the populace. From the taking of water out of the ground and being bottled to be sold is a negative impact on the environment. I support extending the moratorium on new water bottling permits. Lire davantage

I enthusiastically support an extension of the moratorium as described, as well as any possible expansion of its currently proposed scope. It should be of great concern to all in Ontario that corporations are able to take vast quantities of water from within our borders for the purpose of bottling. Lire davantage
