The extraction of aggregate for housing, while important, does cause a lot of environmental issues Namely with big quarries in protected areas with conservation and clean drinking water -those need to be protected over the development of houses. Thank you

One of my recommendations is to open up some whitebelt land for more housing so that we can make housing more affordable especially for millenials and newcomers.

I would like to say NO to this proposal: to increased sprawl and reduced farmland. We need to infill and grow up. Food security ( a major concern) aside, we don't need housing to increase jobs. Farming is the biggest employer in the GTA and will continue to grow (literally) on these precious lands. Lire davantage

The government of Ontario needs to take a hard look at the way it manages land in the province. Currently, every time we begin to run low on land supply for housing & development, we simply add more land. This is unsustainable. Unsustainable means it cannot be sustained, i.e. cannot continue. 1. Making aggregate resources available ‘close to market’ is NOT critical to the success our future cities. The purpose of the Natural Heritage System is to protect biodiversity. A little extra short term trucking is no big deal. Lire davantage

I find the proposal put forth a disgusting show of corporate greed valuing profit over the good of our nation. If environmental rights and the protection of vulnerable and endangered species ignored it will only further destroy Canada's natural beauty and biodiversity. Lire davantage
