Please do not sacrifice our future and our children's future enviromental stability for housing. We can find other solutions that do not involve paving over protected land. Lire davantage

Our Greenbelt was protected for a reason. Once developed there is no going back and numerous species are at risk. Let the cities who voted against urban boundary expansion carry on with their plans and leave our Greenbelt alone. Lire davantage

You don’t have to touch the Greenbelt to provide more housing. What you need is better housing policies. You can always change housing policies within existing developments. They all don’t have to be condos either or detached homes. Lire davantage

First let me say I never voted for Ford. Not the first time. Certainly not the second. I expressly remember him putting green belt development on the table. Voters vehemently opposed the idea and he swore it was off the table. Now here we are… LIAR. Lire davantage

It is ridiculous that Ford would tell voters no more boundary expansion and then here we are - the people do not want this. We need our land for so many reasons - animal habitat, conservation areas, climate change, beautiful hiking..the list goes on. Lire davantage

Don't you dare touch the greenbelt. That is protected land that has existed long before Doug Ford's tenure. I am a Markham Ontario resident so this issue directly affects me. Don't. Touch. The. Green. Belt.

I never thought I’d see the day that our green belt protections were removed. What are we, Texas?! Please do not permanently damage our world, as we know it, for some short term $ gain for your developer friends, DOUG. Lire davantage

You can't bulldoze valuable environmental areas of a certain type, that function to clean our water and air, and sub in other "natural" zones that are already also existing. The City of Hamilton already voted to not expand our urban boundaries and the province is overriding that decision. Lire davantage

Why is Doug Ford pushing for this when so many in Ontario are against it? Doug Ford claims to be for the people but he is in this for himself. If this happens it'll be a mistake that the people of Ontario will have to deal with.

Canada is known worldwide for its natural beauty and so many species depend on the Greenbelt. These proposed changes will probably not be the last and slowly the Greenbelt will erode away causing devastation to native flora, fauna, and native communities. Lire davantage

Environmental protections are essential and not inconvenience. Healthy communities need a healthy environment. I agree with the below comments from he St. Catharines city council about the negative impacts of Bill 23: Lire davantage

Stop trying to open up the Greenbelt to appease your developer friends. There is plenty of land available for growth outside of the Greenbelt and municipalities just completed their growth planning exercises. Lire davantage
