The Greenbelt is a permanently protected green space of forests, wetlands, and watersheds. In this time of climate emergency, we need more verdant green spaces, not less. Leave the green belt alone. This is not the answer to our housing problem. Cap the immigration numbers to help get the housing market caught up as opposed to just keep adding to the growing problem. Taking the green belt to build is and will be the quickest demise of conservative support.
