Do not go ahead with any of the amendments to the Greenbelt Plan. They are environmentally destructive and not what the government should be doing. The lands should stay as protected green zones.

I do not support any removal of Greenbelt land for development, including housing. Urban sprawl is not the way forward to adding homes in Ontario. We need to add density and services to support that density in our cities. Lire davantage

The greenbelt should be left as is. There are plenty of opportunities to develop housing in existing areas without destroying important farmland. This action will be nearly impossible to reverse and is entirely unnecessary. Lire davantage

In the GTA we have a significant need for more housing supply. The way to do this is to build up not out. By developing high rise and multi-family or clustered housing types we can meet our housing needs without irrevocability destroying the best agricultural land in Canada and mother nature. I think that opening up the Greenbelt is a terrible idea, and we should be increasing density through zoning changes rather than continuing urban sprawl into protected wetlands.
