I think removing the land from greenbelt is a backward thinking by Doug Ford. We should instead be looking at relaxing zoning laws to be able to build multi tenant units in the city like every other well run city does. I strongly oppose this proposal

I live off Fiddler's Green road and Garner road. We need to protect the Headwaters in Ancaster. This is extremely important to the health and welfare of our community. The overuse of housing puts the biodiversity of the local lands at risk. Lire davantage

Clearly this situation has been compromised as evidenced by recent sales of previously undeveloppable land. For that reason alone the government should shelve this project to protect the importance of a sense of ethics and fairness.

I am firmly against the idea of opening up the Greenbelt for development, even with the offset of adding additional lands. Has there been a Conservation study done to see what the impacts would be of developing part of the Greenbelt? Lire davantage

Permanently destroying an important area of the greenbelt for reasons of housing immigrants who cannot afford the houses, will struggle to pay rent and will not appreciate the damage done for their "benefit". My parents were immigrants, by the way, from Poland and Norway. Lire davantage

Leave the greenbelt alone. Protect our natural habitat, there is more than enough land to build on. We are endangering the ecosystem. We should be protecting the local wildlife, forests and creeks etc not destroying them for profit. Lire davantage
