Green space is a necessity for our life, and the life of animals and plants. I quiet often take my children into the Greenbelt for outdoor recreation, and enjoy the beautiful landscape every time. The thought of this land being removed saddens me. Lire davantage

I do not support the proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Plan. It is shortsighted and destructive to currently protected areas that were designated to preserve and protect rural farmland and natural watersheds. Once lost, farmland and watershed integrity cannot be recovered. Lire davantage

I am against this plan. The government should not be changing the footprint of the greenbelt. What is it protecting if they can just pave it over whenever they choose? The greenbelt is only the greenbelt if they don't take pieces from it. Lire davantage

This plan is dangerous and does not address the housing concerns of most people. The environmental impact on the Golden Horseshoe area will undoubtedly be negative. The housing has no guarantee of being affordable. Lire davantage

The proposal to build on the greenbelts is absolutely misguided and corrupt. Ontario can hit it's growth targets through other means including misride buildings and improved use of current development areas NOT on our greenbelt.

There is already land on which to develop that doesn't exist within the Greenbelt. Do not undo that work, it isn't necessary. It hasn't even been 20 years since it's formal designation, the only reason this is happening is because money. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this proposal. The Greenbelt needs to be protected in the 15 areas slated to have Greenbelt protections removed. This is important for helping providing clean air to citizens in densely populated areas, green space for wildlife, and a wide range of ecosystem services. Lire davantage
