The environment, human life, and wild life will be greatly affected by this if approved. The river floods every year and it would flood the Treatment Plant, the river would and soil would be contaminated affecting the water, wildlife, human life and the environment.

The proposed site for the building will be in the flood plain and would be under water if we get another bad flood. The low flow in the summer will not support the ability to dilute the affluent.

People depend on the river for their water source. People survive on Goulais River. Fish and other animals depend on the river. This will affect so many people and wildlife once the river is contaminated. Save the fish, save the people, and save the environment.
The assimilative capacity study have never been approved in the ECA Pre-Submission review. Just based on the fact that Policy 2 for TP was already met downstream.

🚩 The proponents (Searchmont Ski Resort) used the bridge on Hwy 17 as their downstream location to collect water samples from Goulais River for their water quality monitoring program.

This ECA application should be rejected for the poorly conducted data set. It does not meet MECP expectations and it is not clear why this data set was approved in the assimilative capacity study either.

Just a reminder that water is life. It is a privilege to have access to safe and healthy water for today and for future generations. The WATER has a right to a voice for concerns.

We live in short distance to the Searchmont Resort site on the Goulais River. Our family and friends are some of the many people that enjoy the Goulais River on a very regular basis to recreate.

MECP please use the authority that you have to reject this application. You must see that this application will have serious consequences to this beautiful natural resources. As you know all to well, once damage is done, it is hard to reverse.
