Hi. The Bloor bike lane is the only way to get my daughter across town safely by bike. I’m not sure how we’ll be able to do it otherwise. Driving in the street with a 4 year old on the back is terrifying. Lakeshore bike lane is an option but it’d add quite a lot of time to the commute.

I for one support this big government overreach and am all for the province bullying Ontarians!! Thank you for taking away power from ordinary people by expropriating their land and preventing them from doing anything about it!! Lire davantage

Bike lanes are an important safety measure to reduce accidents on the road for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists alike. Removing these lanes, which required time and money to put up in the first place, will be extremely dangerous and in efficient use of public funds. Lire davantage

This legislation is foolish, backwards-minded, NOT SUPPORTED BY ANY QUALITATIVE RESEARCH, and will ultimately lead to INCREASED traffic, the less efficient movement of people, and the increased injury and death of those who ride their bikes in Toronto for work, leisure, commutes, and everything in b Lire davantage

Absolute embarrassment that this government would spend millions to rip up existing infrastructure and insert this level of bureaucracy. Constant government intervention by "conservatives" is an joke.

Removing bike lanes will not resolve gridlock, reliable and affordable public transit will. Car centered traffic is incompatible with highly dense populations. Furthermore the appropriation of private land for public works must be properly done, with fair outcomes to all parties involved. Lire davantage

Ontario's Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, which aims to improve transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion, is a proposal that may sound promising on the surface, but upon closer examination, it reveals several flaws that could worsen the problem it seeks to address and ulti Lire davantage

Traffic in Toronto is an urban planning issue that has nothing to do with the bike lanes. It if anything has more to do with the lack of delivery of updated transit options and consistent building/upgrades over the many past decades. Lire davantage

As a member of a community association in the Pleasant View area, I strongly support the Province getting involved in approving where new bike lanes are implemented and reviewing existing bike lanes for potential removal. Lire davantage

I am a concerned Ontario resident and Canadian citizen and outraged at the carelessness of this Bill. - Ontario does not need billons of spent dollars on a highway to nowhere when our deficit is through the roof and getting worse. We need more mass transit solutions. Lire davantage

The proposed "Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act" is being presented as a Trojan horse. This government and the news are talking about bike lanes when the meat and potatoes of this Act is actually a curtailing of property rights. This is total nonsense. Lire davantage

This is not a good idea, you need to invest in proper urban planning. People do not want to spend money on their cars, people have been forced to use their cars because your bike lanes, and public transportation infrastructure and planning is inadequate. Lire davantage

As a public health epidemiologist, I am vehemently opposed to Bill 212. All evidence shows that bike lanes reduce traffic congestion; in fact, there is no good evidence suggesting that more car lines reduce congestion, even taking bikes out of the picture. Lire davantage

As a business owner with multiple locations throughout Ontario, delivering fabricated stone throughout the province, I cannot offer support on this proposal. A dedicated bike lane functions to protect our most valuable citizens; young children and elderly citizens. Lire davantage

This is a waste of government spending, and will make bikers take up space on the road anyways. Will just cause more traffic
