Using this location because of legacy licensing does not make sense. It is too far from major highways. Too close to Dresden. Too close to Molly creek and sensitive environment wetland. The traffic congestion alone does not work. This location is as far as possible from 402 or 401.

Just another sad case of the GTA dumping on Chatham-Kent (literally and figuratively). For 40 years the Ridge Landfill has been the dumping ground for Toronto garbage and now this ridiculous proposal right at the edge of Dresden. This legislation will create more pollution which will result in disease and environmental destruction. The government should be focused on reducing the amount of waste, not creating legal loopholes for burying more into the land in order to further poison our land, soil and water.

As a teacher in Dresden, I am very concerned with the traffic that will be generated. Despite being a small town, it is a very vibrant town. Our streets are busy now and difficult for children to manoeuvre. More traffic could lead to dangerous scenarios for our kids.

Dresden has worked diligently to enhance its appeal- Christmas Town, being one. People will not want to visit Dump Town. It’s seems highly unfair that we need to be YOUR dumping zone. Thoughtless.

I'm really worried about Bill 5. I'm worried that it will override conscious decisions originally made to protect endangered species, the environment and human rights. Nothing is worth sacrificing these decisions.

Please do not destroy our beautiful little town. I have lived here for over 30 years. Our children were raised here. The dump will bring unwanted traffic, pollution and not to mention odours. Please save Dresden.
