Please no. Please preserve Ontario’s provincial parks and natural wonders, including one of the world’s largest and most beautiful freshwater beaches. Removing four sections and over half of waterfront? Lire davantage

Let's keep Canada the best country in the world by valuing our system of Provincial Parks. I am writing to keep the parks as they are. They should not be developed, but should be treated as untouchable. Lire davantage

I care a lot about the piping plover and I really think this proposal needs to put wildlife habitat above private profit!! Lire davantage

You're going to kill off the plovers if you go through with this. Stop thinking only of your wallets for once.

This is pure greed and conflict of interest on the part of the government. Provincial parks were intended to be protected in perpetuity. Tell your developer friends to go make their millions elsewhere. Shame on you!

Please don’t do this. We are Canadians that take pride in our environment. Not in making money. If we sell Wasaga Beach for private land, then we are becoming like our neighbours to the south that value money over the intangibles. Lire davantage

I am very concerned about the future of Piping Plovers at Wasaga beach and want an outcome that continues to conserve the plovers. The Ontario Government must ensure that Piping Plovers are conserved and protected by a science-based management plan and resources that: Lire davantage

When will this stop? When we have no more forest to walk in. When we have no more wetlands to fulfill nature’s habitat? When there is no more crown land for mother natures best to live in. Please leave Wasaga Beach Park alone. Do we really need more condos?

As a proud resident of Wasaga Beach, I write this comment from the comfort of my home studio on 12th St. A block from the water and neighbouring the park area near Beach 2. As a millenial who has travelled, I can appreciate the impacts of tourism and development in a Beach town like ours. Lire davantage

When the world is in climate crisis why would we even consider selling off provincial parks?!?!?! Profit at the expense of our environment has come to bite us in the ass already why make it worse. Haven't we learned our lesson already?!?! Lire davantage

I am writing today as a concerned citizen and a lover of birds. Having heard the news of the possibility of a sale of Wasaga Beach, I'm deeply concerned about the impact of this decision on the highly vulnerable and endangered Piping Plover population. Please do not allow this sale to go through. Lire davantage

I believe this is a terrible idea. Wasaga Beach should remain open for free access and uses that respect its importance as a breeding ground for species such as Piping Plover. This is not a location where privatization and overdevelopment is of long term benefit. Lire davantage

Birds Canada supplied the very polite words that I will be using below. I appreciate the chance to advocate for the voiceless. Wasaga Beach is a conservation and tourism success story, and one we want to see continue. Lire davantage

The sandy dunes of Wasaga Beach are one of the few suitable habitats for the piping plover. As part of the Provincial Park, the nesting area of the plovers is protected, while still allowing bird lovers to watch the plovers on the beach. Lire davantage

This will affect the important wildlife on the shoreline like the piping plover. It is an integral part of the local ecosystem. The largest freshwater beach in Ontario for all to enjoy. We should not be taking away Wasaga's beach front. Lire davantage

I lived in Wasaga Beach from 2000 until 2021. For most of that time we loved living there. I have great concerns in both big picture generic terms with turning over provincial park lands, and in small picture spe ific terms with turning over Wasaga Beach Provincial Park lands. Lire davantage
