I have been a member of the Hamilton Conservation Authority since I moved to Hamilton. They do an excellent job here and there is no benefit to merging them into a larger entity that will reduce local autonomy.

I feel this merger is a bad idea. Please keep it as it is so that each conservation area is responsible for their own communities as it has been for many many years.

I do not support the merger of conservation authorities. I believe a merger will make it impossible to address local contexts and needs. I am concerned about how expensive mergers are, and it does not seem like a benefit is clear.

I think your wings should get clipped. I’ve dealt with LTVCA and ERCA and I hope this shuts down your power plays. Looks good on you. Maybe some projects can be approved now. No need to protect people from themselves.
