I think that this represents a very dangerous precedent. This land is for the enjoyment of all and our provincial parks should remain places where people, for a low cost, can enjoy the natural beauty of this province. Read more

This is an utter disgrace to Canada, our lands are beautiful and to be enjoyed by everyone. There is enough real estate in our comically gigantic province for privatization and cottages to be built. Read more

I vehemently oppose the selling of one ounce of any Ontario parks, parkland or beach. Wasaga beach is the largest freshwater beach that is there thankfully for all of us to enjoy - all Canadians. We need to protect not only the land but the ecosystem and all species within these areas. Read more

Ontario Parks belong to the residents of Ontario and not corporations. That is why we pay taxes. It is not okay to sell off public land that was meant to be accessible to everyone (tax payers) to private companies that will make it difficult for the average Ontario resident to afford to visit. Sir: Please reconsider selling Public land in Wasaga Beach to your private developer friends. This is not a good decision as the land belongs to Ontario taxpayers and should stay in their hands to be enjoyed gor generations. It is not your land to give away. It is ours. Read more

The proposal to transfer the land at Wasaga Beach – where Piping Plovers nest – from Ontario Parks to the Town of Wasaga Beach is very concerning. Piping Plover habitat in Wasaga Beach is currently protected and managed through regulations that apply within the provincial park boundaries. Read more

Please do not sell off our precious park lands. Humans need to use these parks for connecting to our Natural environment, educating our children, remembering to respect other species, and resetting our own nervous systems and re connecting to our well being. Read more

Land should not be removed from any provincial parks in Ontario. There’s plenty of other land for people to build on, let them build there; not in our parks and protected areas. Read more

Provincial Parks are meant to be protected. FOREVER. That’s it. End of story. We need MORE protected spaces, not less. Just a bad idea. Horrible. This would have significant environmental impacts. Sand dunes are very important. Read more

I do not agree with disturbing of any Provincial park. Way too much natural environment because of it’s beauty and location is being developed into subdivisions for the wealthy. Provincial Parks are for the public to be able to enjoy getting into the country. Ontario Place was destroyed. Read more

Please protect wasaga Beach and the wildlife here such as the peeping plovers. Don’t allow the transfer of the beach to private owners for sale and profits. This beach must all remain protected and publicly owned.

Hello, please avoid opening the area for development. Many species of animals rely on the area. Keep the beach as is before it get ruined by over development. Is greed worth ruining a beautiful beach? Read more

Leave the beach alone! That beach is protected by the park, and it makes lake access accessible to everyone, not just the 1% you’d be building homes for. Our provincial parks deserve to be protected, not slashed at by developers. Protect our natural resources, and all the animals that live there. Read more

Please keep the protections in place and not allow the transfer of land at wasaga beach to the town. I’m a piping plover monitor with Montrose Beach in Illinois and know the many protections are needed to allow this endangered species a chance to rebound and hopefully thrive. Read more

Doug Ford is doing real damage to the province of Ontario. Park land should not be handed over to developers. Doug Ford is all about profit before people well, the people say NO to this proposal. Doug Ford is acting like a traitor not a leader. Read more

We are completely against taking any park lands for development. These parklands should remain for public use and protection of species.
